This course will help you if you have been asking yourself any of these questions...
Hi. My name is Alan Fadling and I am the award-winning author of An Unhurried Life and of the forthcoming sequel An Unhurried Leader. I spend a lot of time training people how to deepen their friendship with God. And that is what I want to do for you.
I’ve served thousands leaders, some responsible for large organizations, others who are honored with opportunities for influence in their own families, neighborhoods, churches and workplaces.
The single most strategic practice in my own leadership and in my training of leaders is Unhurried Time with God (Solitude & Silence). This is the heartbeat of this online course called Influence from the Inside Out.
For nearly thirty years, it has served as a fruitful and life-giving rhythm in my own life and leadership.
I’d love to have a chance to share this practice with you. The lectures and resources here are the same ones I’ve used in countless trainings over the years. I hope you’ll take advantage of the practical wisdom I’ve learned and share here.

What Others Are Saying
Alan Fadling is an expert on one of the most important conversations today: What does it mean to live a thriving, unhurried human existence in an instant and panic-speed world? Alan, as a non-anxious and gracious presence, helps us confront the out-of-control parts of us by insisting that judgment and guilt will get us nowhere and by showing a better way forward –Unhurried Living as modeled by Jesus.
---Bishop Todd Hunter, Anglican Church in North America, Author: Our Character At Work
Alan is truly a practitioner equipping leaders to slow down to order their hearts and minds to be more thoughtful and effective. Unhurried Living is rooted in scriptural truth and practical simplicity and Alan is not only one of the best, but he is an important pioneer in this area of getting our lives into a Christ-like rhythm of rest and kingdom impact.
---Jeff Spadafora, Halftime Institute, Director of Global Coaching Services
Being able to have Alan Fadling lead us through a morning of reflecting on what it means that we serve and are loved by an unhurried savior was such a breath of fresh air for our staff. I so appreciated hearing him share humbly, authentically, and as a fellow learner in the journey of life about juggling the demands of full-time ministry and leadership with an overflowing intimate walk with the Lord.
---Sherry Broesamle, National Director HR/Leadership Development, Campus Ministry with Cru
Alan Fadling is a thought provoking communicator who has the rare ability to engage both the heart and the mind in ways that gently usher you into the unhurried presence of Jesus. I have watched people seem to exhale as if the frantic pace of their life no longer had to define them. Alan had given them hope that Jesus was with them and willing to embrace their burdens so that they could live freely.
---Mark A. Moore, Pastor, River Valley Church

In our online course, Influence from the Inside Out, Alan Fadling will mentor you through a practice that gets to the heart of we at Unhurried Living help people do:
Rest Deeper. Live Fuller. Lead Better.
Do you ever feel like your life is too busy, too hurried and you’re often feeling overwhelmed? What’s that costing you? We're not saying that unhurried living is about having an empty calendar. It’s about having a full soul.
Unhurried Living is not necessarily about doing less. It’s about having practices in place that help you sustain your life.
In our online course, Alan will mentor you through establishing the habit of Unhurried Time with God, classically known as silence, solitude and prayer. This is the centerpiece of the spiritual practices and is a great place to begin if you find the idea of unhurried living compelling.
We know how hard it is in the midst of a full life to establish a practice like this. That is why we’ve created this course to help you take one step at at time. You’ll start with just 30-60 minutes and increase to up to four hours. Alan will lead you through each step, offering scripture, personal encouragement and reflection questions to help you process your journey.
Practicing unhurried time with God will help you live, work and lead from a full soul.
This isn't about being lazy. It enables us to have perspective and gain resources to do better work.
This is the deep well from which you’ll draw all that you need to live fuller and lead better.
